This 1976 Jaguar XJ6C is powered by a 350ci Chevrolet V8 paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission and has reportedly been part of a private collection in California for 34 years. In that time the car has been repainted in British Racing Green over a refreshed tan interior with reupholstered leather seats. Service in 2018 included replacement of the spark plugs, wires, and valve cover gaskets, as well as a carburetor rebuild. This XJ coupe is now being offered by the selling dealer on behalf its current owner with an owner’s manual and a clean California title.
The body is finished in British Racing Green, and the seller states that it was repainted and fitted with replacement weatherstripping in the early 1990s.
Polished 15″ factory wheels are mounted with older Michelin whitewall tires, which should be replaced due to age.
The interior is trimmed in tan leather and features air conditioning and power windows. The seller states that the seats have been reupholstered and the wool carpets replaced.
The burlwood dash includes an aftermarket stereo and the 5-digit odometer shows approximately 61k miles.
The Jaguar’s straight-six has been replaced with a Chevrolet 350ci V8, which is mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission. The seller states that the spark plugs, ignition wires, and valve cover gaskets were replaced in late 2018, along with a carburetor rebuild.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 3-speed automatic transmission. Additional underbody photos in the gallery display the suspension, exhaust, and chassis.
