Ebay item 5/3/11
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1974-Jag-XJ-/320693811768
Car has a buy it now price of $3,500 for 6 days.

Sellers description:
1974 Jag XJ with Chev V8 eng and trans. Runs good. New paint. New Toyo tires. Aftermarket wood dash inlays. Interior good. This car is a real head-turner.

Items needing repair...Carpeting, air cond, cruise, radio, 1ea auto-door lock, 1 of 2 gas tanks has drip-leak...I leave it switched-off, slow battery drain...not evident if driven once-week, otherwise- I disco installed RV switch on terminal.

We purchased vehicle in late 80's and had the Chev drivetrain installed, as well as complete reconditioning exterior and interior. This car was a daily driver for 10 yrs...now kept garaged.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
