Seen on eBay, October 2008:

Ad reads:

"For Sale is a Beautiful 1974 "Pale Primrose" (light yellow) Jaguar XJ6L!!!! There are only 25 miles on the rebuilt Transmission, with a new torque converter! All chrome is immaculate, also will provide full documentation of all repairs. This car has only 2 previous owners, both from California, then sold to me in Michigan in August 2005! Has never been driven during the winter, always been housed, and never smoked in, therefore greatly taken care of!!! Air Conditioner does not work, but other than that NO mechanical problems! Seller will arrange shipping at buyers expense, therefore please contact me as soon as auction ends! Also, if you have any questions at all, or would like to view additional pictures feel free to ask! Thank You Very Much, and Happy Bidding : )"

Car now offered at:

classics.autotrader.com/classic-cars/1974/jaguar/xj6/101812155

Rock Solid Motorsports lnc., Elkhart, Indiana

$8,500

Very original and unrestored 1974 Jaguar XJ6L powered by 4.2 liter inline-6 cyl. Very original survivor DOHC 4.2 liter inline-6 cylinder engine 3-speed automatic transmission Pale Primrose exterior Tan leather interior Power steering 4-wheel power disc brakes Air conditioning AM/FM stereo Independent rear suspension Throughout the years, Jaguars cars have been known for their classy styling and their very luxurious interiors. This 1974 Jaguar XJ6L is no exception. This XJ6L is in good driver condition with just over 95,000 miles showing on the odometer. The correct, Pale Primrose (Yellow) exterior is in good overall condition with some defects present. Complimenting the exterior is the Jaguars factory chrome/stainless trim and its original steel wheels and hubcaps. The Tan leather interior is in good condition as well with some age showing in the front door panels and seats. All of the seats have plenty of padding but a few of the seams on the rear bench seat have split and there are some cracks present in the driver seat. Powering this great survivor XJ6L is its 4.2 liter DOHC inline 6-cylinder backed by its 3-speed automatic transmission. Both the engine and transmission perform just as they should. This Jaguar is nicely equipped with factory options such as: power steering, 4-wheel power disc brakes, air conditioning (in-op), AM/FM stereo, in-dash tachometer, power windows, intermittent wipers, and heater/defrost. If you are in the market for a very original and great driving, classic Jaguar that is turn-key ready for that relaxing weekend cruise, then you will want to take a close look at this 1974 Jaguar XJ6L.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
