Sellers description:
1974 JAGUAR XJ-6 L - All Original, Second Owner. This elegant sedan was bought new in Pasadena, CA by my uncle in 1974. He owned the car for 36 years and maintained it to a high standard, always garaged. I bought the car from him three years ago and have enjoyed driving it, but am now ready for something different. The car is in very good original condition, engine runs well, transmission shifts smooth, cruises at 70 mph on the highway. Here are the details:

THE GOOD:
Engine runs well, carbs rebuilt 3 years ago, new radiator last year.
Transmission shifts smooth.
Original paint and chrome in very good condition, with some minor chips and wear.
Leather in good condition, with some marks and worn areas.
Sunroof works with no issues (professionally added aftermarket by a quality Beverly Hills company).
8 Track stereo system works and sounds great. I am including 10 working 8-Track tapes with the car, including Rolling Stones, Journey, Devo,
The Police, Beach Boys, Jimmy Buffett, Allman Brothers, and more.
All lights and gauges in working order.

THE BAD:
A/C is not working. Fan works occasionally (thank you, Mr. Lucas).
Power window work to varying degrees - Driver's window 100%, front passenger 50%, rear passenger 90%, rear driver's side not working.
Driver's sear cushion will need to be replaced soon.

THE UGLY:
Engine drips some oil (it's a Jag....).

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
