This 1973 Jaguar XJ6 is finished in red over tan leather and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes chrome-finished 15″ steel wheels, power-assisted disc brakes, a Ford-sourced AM/FM cassette stereo, wood veneer interior trim, power windows, and chrome bumpers with overriders. The car spent time in Virginia before the current owner’s acquisition in 2009, and service since 2022 included replacing the high-speed blower relay and performing an oil change. This XJ6 is offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with an XJ6 service manual, a tool roll, a fire extinguisher, partial service records, and a clean Georgia title.
The car is finished in red with tan pinstripes and features dual fuel fillers, a Leaper hood ornament, bright trim, and chrome bumpers with overriders. A section of reflective tape is present on the lower-left portion of the windshield trim.
Chrome-finished 15″ wheels with body-color accents wear factory hubcaps and are wrapped in 215/70 Maxxis Escapade thin-whitewall tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted discs at each corner.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in tan leather along with a color-coordinated center console and door panels. Wood veneer trim accents the dashboard, and additional amenities include a Ford-sourced AM/FM cassette stereo, a locking glovebox, power windows, and front shoulder belts with jaguar-print covers. The high-speed blower motor relay was replaced in April 2022. The air conditioning does not blow cold, the heater is inoperative, and the car shows wear on the door panels, cracks on the dashboard, and a loose panel on the right side of the center console.
A two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline. Additional instrumentation located centrally on the dashboard includes a clock and gauges displaying voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 92k miles, approximately 1,200 of which were added during current ownership.
The 4.2-liter inline-six features twin Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and a dual exhaust system. Work performed in 2017 included replacing the radiator cap along with the right fuel tank. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission.
