Seller's description:
1983 Jaguar XJ6 Series III sedan

Powered by a 4.2-liter straight-six mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission. The car was purchased new in Ohio. The last 3 owners have been British car enthusiasts.

The exterior is brilliant white, that was resprayed about 15 years ago. Outer headlamps are 7 inch European model lamps.

Exterior equipment includes chrome mirrors, black rubber bumpers, side markers, and a Jaguar “leaper” hood ornament. Stock 15” Kent rims.

Stately blue leather seats are complemented by matching carpets and door panels. An aftermarket radio with 10 disc CD changer in the boot replaces the factory radio. A factory radio is included in the sale. The car is equipped with cruise control and a trip computer. Shows under 90k miles are shown on the odometer.

The fuel-injected 4.2L inline-six sends power to the rear wheels through a Borg Warner 3-speed automatic transmission.

The sale includes a set of carpeted floor mats, a spare and jack.

The sale of the car includes 2 bins of used and new mechanical and electrical parts. As stated, this car has been owned by enthusiasts that collected multiple parts to insure the car would be kept on the road.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
