Ebay item 7/18/16
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XJ6-/201625850168
Opening bid US $4,500 reserve not met, no bids 6 days left in auction buy it now price $6,000, seller jaguarbud8qp1, 64k miles.

Sellers description:
1983 Jaguar XJ6, which I have owned for the past 16 years. I purchased this car from the original owner in February of 2000, and at that time it had clocked 50,000 miles. During my ownership it has always been garaged, driven about 1000 miles per year, and presently has 64,864 miles on it. These cars are notoriously underpriced, and when new sold for a minimum of $30,000. This model is in beautiful Tudor White with tan interior. It has the original factory paint, which still has a very nice finish, and is not in need of respraying. The chrome, likewise is all in fine shape. A slight amount of surface rust has appeared around the wheel wells and in a few other places, but it is a very solid car throughout. The original leather is also in good condition, along with all of the door panels. The carpets are factory original and were always protected and appear brand new as can be seen in the pictures. Jaguar always used very high quality materials throughout. All systems work as they should, with the exception of the AC which will require recharging. All tires are like new with about 500 miles on them. Numerous upgrades completed during my ownership consist of the following: larger brighter European headlights, custom wood shift knob and Momo steering wheel to match the light colored wood throughout, steel cooling fan in place of the original plastic fan, upgraded alternator relocated topside, upgraded compressor, elimination of the stock air pump, state of the art Alpine stereo, and a remote locking system. In addition, I am including the original Owner and Maintenance Handbooks in their leather case, the Service Manual, and the original tool kit which is complete and in very nice condition.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
