This Jaguar is a very nice car that runs and drives well; all accessories and lights seem to work perfectly. The cobalt blue exterior is a repaint (two years ago) of the original color; tan leather is in good shape with usual wear but no rips or tears. The wood veneers are in better-than-average condition because the car has been garaged (and never smoked in). Five factory wheels and tires in very good condition; chrome and stainless trim also good; complete owner's manual.

Car has been carefully maintained by long-time car (and Jaguar) collector who is now 85 and needs to downsize his collection. (Still owns a Mark V, 240, XJ-12, and XJ-S!) In the past two years it has been painted and some minimal rust repaired with new metal. Brakes are good, no known mechanical problems. This is a very nice car that could be driven on a regular basis--a great example of this classic design.

Sellers description:
This is a very nice XJ6. I'm selling for my dad who was a long-time collector recently forced to downsize and sell his collection. He's had about 15-20 Jaguars over the years. This XJ6 was purchased by him about 8 years ago and has been a dependable runner and smooth driver since then. The only significant work done was paint about five years ago (in the original color). The car never had much rust but that was fixed at the time and there is no indication of any new rust. It has always been garaged and never smoked in.

The only thing the car needs is regular use as it hasn't been driven much lately; there seems to be no mechanical problems. All the windows work, the sunroof, all gauges, glass is all good, tires are good, new battery.

Basically this is a nice car that needs a new home and could be used as a regular driver or collector. If you want a series III, the years to have are 1986 or 1987.
