Ebay item 10/22/12
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1982-Jaguar-XJ6-Base-Sedan-4-Door-4-2L-/290797183783?
Opening bid $1,500, no bids 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
The cars run great and the ride is extremely smooth!

I've had this car since 2003. It has been in a garage up until last year in which it has been sitting in my driveway. I used to drive this car on rare occasions up until about 2006, and I rarely drive it now. The previous owner kept the car in the garage and only drove the car during one winter. I never drove the car in the winter. I had the car stored in a garage up until last year. I'm selling this as I rarely drive the car, and I hate to have it sitting outside

The cars odometer BROKE at 12,168 miles. Althought the mileage was low, the owner did not have the odometer fixed as it was out of warranty. The previous owner estimated estimated the car had between 30,000 - 40,000 miles. I've driven the car about 2,000 miles. I threw an estimate out at 45,000. A friend mentioned that you can determine that the cars mileage is low by the minimal amount of wear on the seats. The seats due have some stitching breaks, most likely due to dryness of the stitches.

This car is mostly original, including the paint job (which it obvioulsy could use a new paint job), and floor mats.

In the couple of years, I had the following work completed:

Valve Cover gasket
Within one Gas tank - Seal Sender
Fuel Injector hoses
Washer pump
Rack

There is a ding on the passenger front panel. There is rust near the front and back windows, starting on the top (which looks like a sun roof, but it is not). Paint is slightly faded. A couple of tears on the headliner and the rear view mirror need repair. Automatic antannae does not work. There is a rust hole on a sheet of metal underneath the driver's side muffler (the other side if fine) - see pics.

This car is mostly original. Cassette radio with Jaguar written on it. Interior is in great shape for it's age. There is an old radar detector still mounted in the car.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
