This 1986 Jaguar XJ6 is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and is finished in Arctic Blue over Savile Grey leather. Equipment includes a Leaper hood ornament, a sunroof, a power antenna, 15″ Kent vented alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, front bucket seats, cruise control, and power windows. The seller purchased the car in 2026 and has since added approximately 1k of the 143k miles shown. This Series III XJ6 is now offered at no reserve with a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The Pininfarina-styled bodywork is finished in Arctic Blue (JFE) and features a Leaper hood ornament, a power sunroof, a power antenna, power-adjustable side mirrors, bright trim, and dual exhaust outlets. Yellow-tinted driving light lenses are installed. A July 2008 entry in the Carfax report notes that the car sustained “minor damage”. The right fender is dented, the right-front door is scratched, and rust and paint bubbling are visible around the windshields and sunroof.
The 15″ Kent vented alloy wheels are mounted with 215/70 Cooper CS4 Touring tires, and braking is handled by ventilated front and solid inboard rear discs. The brake fluid is said to have been changed in preparation for the sale. The seller tells us that the front brake rotors are almost due for replacement.
The seating surfaces are trimmed in Savile Grey leather (LDY), while burl wood accents the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Interior equipment includes an AM/FM/cassette stereo, a trip computer, front bucket seats, cruise control, and power windows and locks. The seller tells us that the seats were reupholstered a few years ago, and the headliner and trunk carpeting were replaced in preparation for the sale. The dash trim is beginning to delaminate, the air conditioning does not blow cold, and there is a scratch on the rear of the left-front headrest.
The two-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as gauges for oil pressure, voltage, fuel level, and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 143k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.
The 4.2-liter inline-six was factory rated at 205 horsepower and 231 lb-ft of torque. The spark plugs and battery were replaced, and a coolant change was carried out in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a BorgWarner three-speed automatic transmission.
