Ebay item 7/30/17
www.ebay.com/itm/1978-Jaguar-XJ6-XJ6L-4-Door-/202002378509
Opening bid US $1,499 reserve not met, no bids 6 days left in auction, seller mick-e-knox,66k miles.

Sellers description:
This is a super clean 1978 Jaguar XJ6L that was stripped and repainted with high quality PPG base and clear coat paint many years ago. It is the original regency red color and still looks fabulous. It has only 66,000 miles on the original engine that runs great and shifts like a top with the Borg-Warner transmission. This was the first year for fuel injection. The original interior is clean as well and the only flaws are that some seams have separated from the seats from age. It still has the factory radio with an 8 track tape player that works. The exhaust is like new and the engine holds strong oil pressure. The Cooper tires are excellent as well as shown. The only things this vehicle needs are rear calipers and the right fuel tank needs to be re-plumbed/wired. This car has been meticulously maintained and has not seen winters. Have a clean title also.

Car returns to ebay 3/9/19

www.ebay.com/itm/1978-Jaguar-XJ6-L/163586368123

Opening bid US $4,600, no reserve, 6 days left in auction, seller lowest13, same location, 66k miles.

Seller's description:

1978 JAGUAR XJ6L 4.2 WITH 66,000 ORIGINAL MILES

Never driven in the winter, Runs great first year or fuel injection. Borg Warner automatic that shifts perfectly. Body is straight and solid. Striped and repainted with PPG base coat and clear coat. Interior all original except for a new headliner. Seats need some seams restitched here and there. Floors, rockers and under carriage solid and rust free. The car needs rear calipers as they are stuck from sitting. Always stored in a heated garage.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
