Current bid $2,025 reserve not met, 2 bids 6 days left in auction. 35k miles.
Sellers description:
I picked this car up as a project, but am unable to continue with it. The car is a redo. Originally a California car. Rare Solent Blue color. Had a respray at some point, and lost the vinyl top in the process. The body does have some bubbling at the lower edges of the doors and front wings. Also some rust in the usual places. A respray would be in order. Biscuit interior is original, but needs replacing, as does the carpet. Dash has been restained, but should be replaced. Headliner is good. The engine has had twin downdraft Webers installed at some point. The car runs, but at this time I would not recommend driving it for any distance, as the engine stumbles occasionally under acceleration. Engine and transmission should be gone through. The odometer reads about 35,000 miles, but I have no way to verify the actual mileage. Tires are good, with original steel wheels. Original Stromberg carbs included, as are many other trim items and other parts. The car has had both fuel tanks replaced by me with NOS tanks, brakes redone with new pads, rear rotors and master cylinder replaced. The car is original, and intact. It is a great candidate for a restoration or a restomod. This was the last year for the limited run for the XJC, and this car's color makes it all the more rare. Buyer is responsible for inspecting the car prior to bidding. The vehicle is sold as is where is, without warranty, no warranty expressed or implied. Payment in full is due within five working days from completion of auction. Payment is by Cashier's Check, or PayPal, in U.S. dollars only. Buyer pays all shipping/transport fees. Car is currently licensed, but should be considered as a project, and transported, not driven, to buyer's destination. 1979 XJ12L parts car also available.
