This 1977 Jaguar XJ6 coupe is finished in Signal Red with a black roof over a Biscuit tan leather interior, and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes 15″ basketweave wheels, a rear luggage rack, chrome trim, a burl wood dashboard, air conditioning, a Kenwood cassette stereo, and power windows. This XJ6 is now offered with a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The pillarless XJ coupe was based on the short-wheelbase Series II XJ, and this example is believed to have been refinished in Signal Red with a black roof, lower rocker panels, and pinstripes during previous ownership. Equipment includes quad headlights, fog lights, a rear luggage rack, dual exhaust outlets, and chrome trim.
Stock 15″ basketweave wheels are fitted with Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 Plus tires that were reportedly installed approximately one year ago. The brakes were adjusted at that time, and a spare is mounted in the trunk.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in Biscuit tan leather with lap belts for four occupants. Interior amenities include a burl wood dashboard, air conditioning, a Kenwood cassette stereo, a lockable glovebox, and power windows. The seller notes that the air conditioning system was recharged six months ago.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer, a 5,500-rpm tachometer, and gauges for water temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 9k miles, approximately 200 of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The 4.2-liter inline-six features three carburetors and is paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. The seller notes that a tune-up was performed in the last year and states that the engine idles at a higher rpm until warm.

Lot #66581
This 1977 Jaguar XJ6 coupe is finished in Signal Red with a black roof over Biscuit tan leather and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include 15″ basketweave wheels, a Jaguar cassette stereo, power windows, a rear luggage rack, air conditioning, and seven-inch Euro-style headlights. The car was acquired by the seller on BaT in November 2020 and subsequent work has consisted of rebuilding the alternator and replacing the brake booster, master cylinder, spark plugs, and manual choke. This XJ6 is now offered with service invoices, two keys, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The pillarless XJ coupe was based on the short-wheelbase Series II XJ and is finished in Signal Red with a black roof, lower rocker panels, and pinstripes. The seller notes that the body was repainted. Features include quad headlights, fog lights, a rear luggage rack, dual exhaust outlets, and chrome trim. Later-model tail lights have reportedly been installed.
Polished 15″ basketweave wheels wear 215/70 Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 Plus tires. A full-size spare is mounted in the trunk. The car features fully independent suspension and four-wheel disc brakes. The brake booster and master cylinder were replaced in June 2021.
The cabin features Biscuit Tan leather upholstery on the seats with matching door panel inserts. Burlwood trim accents the dashboard and shifter handle. Equipment includes a Jaguar cassette stereo, air conditioning, a locking glove box, and power windows and locks. The air conditioning system was reportedly recharged in summer 2021.
The Nardi wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for water temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 10k miles, approximately 1k of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The 4.2-liter inline-six features three carburetors and was factory rated at 170 horsepower and 283 ft-lb of torque. The choke mechanism was repaired in June 2021, and the alternator was rebuilt in October 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a GM three-speed automatic transmission.
