This 1977 Jaguar XJ6C has been refinished in red over Cinnamon Connolly leather upholstery and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. It is equipped with 15″ GKN Kent alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, an independent front and rear suspension, front bucket seats, burl walnut trim, rear-cabin heating and ventilation controls, and a cassette stereo. The seller purchased the car in 2024, and service in preparation for the sale is said to have included replacing the battery, spark plugs, and right fuel pump. This Series II XJ6 coupe is now offered at no reserve with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, manufacturer’s literature, service records, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
The two-door body rides on a 108.8″ wheelbase and has chrome-accented bumpers and twin fuel-filler doors. The car left the factory finished in Regency Red and was repainted under prior ownership. The rear badges are missing, and replacements are included in the sale. Dings on the side panels and an area of missing chrome trim are noted along with rust on the left front, right front, and left rear wheel arches as well as the left door and fender, right front sill, and rear valance. The lights do not work, and the right rocker panels are dented.
The 15″ GKN Kent alloy wheels are mounted with 205/70 Aspen Touring A/S tires. The car is equipped with an independent front and rear suspension, and stopping power is provided by ventilated front and solid rear disc brakes. The power steering system is inoperative.
The factory specified Cinnamon (3243) Connolly leather upholstery, and burl wood accents the cabin. An analog clock and an AM/FM/cassette stereo are housed in the center stack, and the rear cabin has a bench seat and ventilation controls. Only one power window operates, and various interior switches are nonfunctional. Tears on the driver’s seat and cracked and worn interior trim are visible as well as corrosion in the trunk.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer, a 5,500-rpm tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, voltage, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 74k miles.
The 4.2-liter XK inline-six is equipped with twin Zenith Stromberg carburetors. Service in August 2025 is said to have included replacing the battery, spark plugs, and right fuel pump. A fluid leak and an inoperative left fuel pump are noted. The air conditioning system is inoperative and missing its belt.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a BorgWarner Model 65 three-speed automatic transmission. Corrosion and areas of rust-through are present on the underside.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate shows factory colors and specifications along with a manufacture date of June 13, 1977.
The body tag lists chassis number UH2J53490BW, while the Texas title and other VIN tags on the car omit the “BW” suffix.
