Ebay item 12/22/17
www.ebay.com/itm/1976-Jaguar-XJ12-Video-Inside/152835772978
Current bid US $1,000, no reserve, 19 bids 5 days left in auction, seller bulletmotorsportsinc, 75k miles.

Sellers description:
The A/C did work until the compressor caught fire, don't worry Santa turned it out on time and even cut the belt, throw a compressor on it and your cold again. This Jag started life with one of the most unreliable V-12 motors in existence (2nd most if you count the 13b) Thankfully an American blooded big block lover threw a 454ci in there for reliability and hot-rodding grunt. We got it, and it just lacked what we needed, the original Holley had a bad accelerator pump and the secondaries were not working at full vacuum. It needed some help, so we threw on a Holley 750 and a SMALL wet-shot of Nitrous. We also installed 2 step colder plugs, replaced the ignition to electronic, made new fuel lines for the double pumper, then set the timing where it should be for some fun. Wiring for the nitrous is way too nice for this British abomination.

It's a Jaguar, so you know none of the electronics are going to work. Yes, the radio turns on but there is no sound, the front windows work, and if you have an elf helper you can get the rears down with some coaxing.

The painter was definitely drunk (5-10 ) It has rally wheels with 99% up front and 50 % in the rear (the burnouts) It is a 10 foot car that actually cleans up nice, but the sole purpose for this JAAAG is to have fun, and deliver presents in fashion. If you have friends that don't have a clue about cars, they would think it's a 20K car, just using the word JAG adds cryptocurrency levels of cool. The muffler tips can be used as weapons, and for the person that decided to stick them out 8 inches from the bumper, well I hope Santa does not bring you anything.

Okay Lets disregard everything above and talk about the "PACKAGE" (use deep voice) 454ci Swap Holley 750 Double Pumper, Nos Wet Kit with 125hp Jet installed (comes with 150/200 jets)
25lb tank with 21LBS of nitrous left.
New Electronic ignition, New Plugs, Limited Slip Rear (It Def Works)

Ending Statement:
This is a fun car that survived Santa's wrath and took it like a champ, would I drive this car cross country, of course! "but not recommended" Is the steering wheel sideways? Yes. Do the turn signals turn on when you hit the brakes? Yes. Does it start and drive? Yes and very well! How awesome is the Nitrous? It should have come with it from factory!

Car returns to ebay 5/7/18
www.ebay.com/itm/1976-Jaguar-XJ12/282955284544
Car has a buy it now price of $9,500 for 6 days, seller purpleen, car now said to be in West Palm Beach, Florida, 76k miles. Sold at previous auction for $4,050 after 42 bids.

Sellers description:
1976 Jaguar XJ12 L Cruiser. Car was converted to a 454 Big Block in the early 80's. Motor has a mild cam in it and has a Turbo 400 trans with an American Overdrive unit on it. Runs about 1800rpm at 55mph. In the last 12 months the car has gotten a new steering rack, rebuilt front and rear calipers, newer tires, spark plugs, all new fluids and 68 Camaro Rally Sport wheels. A new Holley 750 double pumper carb was also installed. I have gotten all the lights working and all gauges work except the fuel level (needs new sending unit) All power windows work. Last week I installed a new thermostat, AC compressor, Power Steering Pump and AC Drier. Car has a manual sunroof. Trunk panels recently reupholstered. The car is incredibly fun to drive and gets a lot of attention. It is not a show car but still looks great. Converted XJ sedans are fast climbing in value. A small block converted car with no AC sold for $13k just last week. I've put about 2000 miles on the car since getting it last year and I do wish I could keep it but our 2nd child is due in 3 weeks and I have to get rid of it. The right person can turn this into a real gem with a few more tweaks. For someone looking for a bigger project, lets not forget the LS swapped XJ6C that went for over $100k Lots of options with what you can do with it.

This 1976 Jaguar XJ12 is a modified example that has been fitted with a Chevrolet 454ci V8, a Holley double-pumper carburetor, and a GM TH400 automatic transmission with overdrive. The powertrain was reportedly installed in the 1980s, and further alterations include aftermarket wheels, an Alpine stereo, aftermarket gauges, and a repaint in a non-original shade. It was acquired by the seller earlier this year from a dealership in Florida, and work performed three months ago included a new A/C compressor and receiver/drier, as well as a new power steering pump, a rebuilt steering rack, and more. This XJ12 is now being offered at no reserve with recent records and a clean Florida title in the seller's name.

Originally finished in Metallic Blue, this example received a driver-quality repaint in its current shade of metallic burgundy some time ago. The work included refinishing the front and rear bumper covers as well as the addition of a hood stripe. Imperfections in the finish are said to include numerous blemishes, rust on the driver's floor and rear bumper cover, and other areas of poor paint prep.

15" Camaro-style reproduction wheels are equipped with Chevrolet center caps and newer Hankook Optimo tires. The seller installed new sunroof and taillight seals.

Inside, the seats and front door panels have been reupholstered, though the rear door panels show their age. The power locks are inoperative and the rear windows reportedly require assistance raising and lowering.

The wood dash fascia shows some cracks and houses aftermarket water temperature and oil pressure gauges. According to the seller, the fuel gauge and older Alpine stereo do not function, and the Smiths speedometer and tachometer read high. The air conditioning system was recently fitted with a new compressor and receiver/drier and is reported to work, though the airflow selector does not. Just over 76k miles are shown on the odometer, approximately 300 of which were added by the seller.

Power comes from a GM 454ci big block V8 equipped with a 750 CFM Holley double-pumper carburetor, HEI distributor, and a manual choke. The Turbo 400 automatic transmission is fitted with an overdrive unit with a dash-mounted switch. Maintenance performed by the seller three months ago included a rebuilt steering rack and brake calipers, a new power steering pump, fan clutch, thermostat, spark plugs, and driveshaft U-joints. Dual fuel tanks have been retained, but only the left fuel tank has been connected. A slight hiss during steers at lower speeds is noted along with some fluid seepage from the rear end. An area of rust-through on the driver's floor

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
