Ebay item 9/1/23
Current bid: $2,000 reserve not met 1 bid, seller retro-treasure-seeker, 6 days left in auction, 87k miles
Seller's description:
Up for auction is a very rare Jaguar XJ6- C. This Jag is still finished in its original shade of signal red with black interior and its original matching numbers engine.
The car comes with its original factory window sticker and sales receipt which verifies the color combination and engine number.
When I got the car, it had been parked for at least 12 years in California and I was able to get it running by changing the fluids and cleaning out the carburetors and then running them off a separate fuel supply. It now runs, will move forward and backward and has functioning brakes. The car can now be driven onto a trailer/ transporter but no more as it will require a total restoration and it has a bad exhaust leak.
This Coupe has had the floor pans repaired poorly and will need to be replaced. This and the rear valance are the only places that I could find extensive rust (see photos)
The engine bay is extremely original retaining all its original equipment and paint, but the catalytic convertor has been removed.
All the glass is in good condition but only the drivers power window is functioning. The gauges work including the lights and turn signals. The clock does not work.
This is great opportunity to start a concours restoration due to its matching numbers or a resto-mod due to the low buy in price.
This Jag is a running restoration project not a driver so all emission requirements for registration purposes are up to the new owner, I am selling the car "as is". The car has a signed off Washington state title in the previous owner's name.
