This 1976 Jaguar XJ6C coupe was purchased by the current owner in 2010 and subsequently refurbished and modified during a build completed in 2020. A 5.7-liter GM LS1 V8 was installed along with a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The body was refinished in Opalescent Gray-Green, and earlier-style bumpers and badging were retrofitted to the car. The interior was re-trimmed in Cinnamon leather during the refurbishment, and features include front bucket seats, air conditioning, a Kenwood CD stereo, and power windows and locks. An aluminum radiator is also installed along with dual electric cooling fans, a dual exhaust system with an X-pipe and coated headers, four-wheel disc brakes, and 15″ ventilated alloy wheels. This modified XJ6C is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with service records and a clean Illinois title in the owner’s name.
The two-door body was refinished in an earlier Jaguar shade of Opalescent Gray-Green during the refurbishment, and earlier-style front and rear bumpers were fitted along with earlier side badges. Additional details include quad round headlights, twin fuel-filler doors, and dual exhaust outlets exiting through the rear valance.
The 15″ ventilated alloy wheels have been refurbished and are mounted with 215/70 General Altimax RT tires with 2011 date codes. The car is equipped with independent front and rear suspension, and stopping power is provided by ventilated front and solid rear disc brakes.
The interior was re-trimmed during the refurbishment completed in 2020. The front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in Cinnamon Connolly leather and are complemented by burl wood accents. Interior equipment includes a Kenwood CD stereo, air conditioning, power windows, central locking, and rear seat heating and ventilation controls. The seller notes imperfections in the wood dash panel, and the clock does not work.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation consisting of a speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, voltage, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 52,698 miles, and the seller notes the speedometer and odometer were inoperative before being repaired in preparation for the sale. Total mileage is unknown.
The 5.7-liter Chevrolet LS1 V8 was reportedly sourced from a 2000 Camaro in 2020, and it was rebuilt in 2021. The coil covers have been fitted with Jaguar badges, and the aluminum radiator is accompanied by dual electric fans.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential that was reportedly sourced from an earlier XKE model. Coated headers feed into a dual exhaust system with an X-pipe.
