Sellers description:
European Motor Studio is proud to offer this exceptional 1 owner blue plate 1976 Jaguar XJ6 C Coupe finished in stunning two toned black and silver paint over dark red leather interior. The car has only traveled 51,650 original miles in its life and has never leftSouthern California. This XJ6 C Coupe left the Coventry Browns Lane Factory in early 1976 and was imported intoNew Jersey, where the car was then invoiced to a Los Angeles Jaguar dealership. The car was leased by the one and only owner in 1976 and once the lease ended, the gentleman bought the car out of his lease and has kept the car ever since. The only thing not original to the car is the striking and unique two toned paint. The original owner had the black painted onto the original Silver Metallic finish to make a stunning combo that accents the red Connolly leather interior. The lower half finish is the original silver paint the car left the factory with and shows beautifully, there is one spot underneath the left taillight where there is some paint cracking. The black paint on the top half of the car is exceptional; it still has a stunning luster and shows only minor stone chips. The exterior chrome is all original and beautiful with very minimal pitting and road wear. The original rubber shows very nicely and free from any tears or any damage (slight shrinkage in some areas) all of the original rubber and trim look beautiful and show extremely well. All of the glass on the car is its original pieces and free from any cracking or pitting. The interior shows very nicely, the original Connolly leather seats are all intact and completely original. The two front seats do show wear and they do show cracks and creases. This Jaguar comes with fitted black sheepskins made specifically for this car. The carpets are all original and virtually stain free. The headliner is all original and shows no sagging or stains. The dashboard does not have any cracks or tears, the original wood finish is beautiful with very light hairline cracks in the wood veneer finish on the glovebox. All of the chrome and switchgear are in outstanding condition and all functioning. The original Jaguar radio is present and functioning. All of the gauges are clear and read correctly, all of the electronics on the car are functioning as designed. The headlights, taillights, side marker lights, reverse lights and brake lights, interior lights and dash lights are all working. The windows are working as designed and the door locks are work to each door. The original Jaguar deep dish style chrome wheel are in beautiful shape and show very light checking in the outer painted steel portion of the wheel. The AC is working well on all of the fan speeds and blows cold. The tires are newer and still have about 70% tread left. The brakes were recently done as well as a complete rebuild of the original Stromberg carbs. The car was just recently serviced with a complete fluid change, updates to the cooling system including new radiator hoses. The engine was rebuilt a couple of years ago due to sitting, and it runs absolutely beautiful. The car starts right up, idles smoothly, and accelerated quickly and effortlessly. The transmission is the traditional GM unit and shifts well through the gears without any hesitation or problems. The steering is nice and tight, free from any shakes or vibrations; the brakes feel great and have absolutely no fade or pulsating. The suspension is tight and rides beautifully like any Jaguar should and there are no vibrations, rattles or creaks coming from the car. This XJ6 C has never been involved in an accident or had any damage of any kind. It is free from any rust or corrosion, the body is straight and all of the panel gaps are factory original. The car comes with its original jack, spare, owners manual radio book and Jaguar case. The car even has its original Jaguar factory keys. This is a beautifully maintained and outstanding original 1 owner rust free southernCaliforniacar that has been inside a large European car collection its whole life. This is your opportunity to own a very rare and desirable XJ6 C coupe'. These have become increasingly hard to find and even harder to find one with such excellent provenance and having had a pampered life.
