Ebay item 10/22/12
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1976-Jaguar-XJ12C-Classic-12-Cylinder-Coupe-Rare-Collect ...
Current bid $3,550 reserve not met, 4 bids 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
This two-owner classic coupe was sold new in Arizona, then in 1980 was purchased in California where it was kept until 2010. Professionally serviced and maintained by a factory trained Jaguar specialist, this car has 108,000 actual miles on it.

The 12 cylinder fuel injected engine runs smoothly, and the car handles and steers with the precision expected of the all independent suspension and the power assisted rack and pinion steering. Braking is excellent with the four wheel disc brakes that Jaguar equipped this car with. All electrical components work, except for the clock.

The paint and chrome are in excellent condition with no dents, fogging or oxidation.

The beautiful deep red leather interior had no tears or cracking, and the headliner is immaculate. The carpet is without any sign of wear or fading. The vinyl roof is in excellent condition.

This Jaguar has been kept as an original, the way it was sold new. Only 1273 fuel injected 12 cylinder coupes were produced, and most "survivors" have had their vinyl roofs removed, leaping Jaguar hood ornaments attached, after-market rims installed, and many have had their engines replaced with Chevrolet small blocks. The only non original accessory on this car is the stereo...which now plays CDs.

Things that need attention, if I were to keep this car:

The dashboard has some typical aging of the clear coat that could be refinished at some point.
The small knobs that control the two side mirror adjusters are broken and should be reattached or soldered.
There is some fading on a small section of the side pin striping.
The trunk carpet has some wear in the upper left corner.
There is a small bit of fraying on the piping of the left side of the drivers seat where it was scuffed. It is not very noticeable, but I am rather picky.

The car has a good chrome-wheel-mounted spare tire in the "boot", as well as an additional tire with chrome wheel and hubcap that is shown in the trunk. Included with the vehicle is the original owners manual, several articles, original ads, and other memorabilia regarding the XJ12 coupe. A custom fit black car cover is also included. Finally, for any Washington State purchaser, the collector license plate will be included, which eliminates the need for WA State annual tab expense.

This truly gorgeous automobile has been a pleasure to drive down many two lane country roads...and will be a wonderful addition to any collection. An award winner at local car shows, it most recently was awarded the Peoples' Choice 2nd place trophy in its class, at the Northwest All British Field Meet, held in Portland, Oregon on September 1, 2012.

I have attempted to give as honest a representation of this vehicle as possible. As with any 36 year old car, minor scratches, blemishes or pitting may not show in photographs.

Ebay item 1/25/18
www.ebay.com/itm/1975-Jaguar-XJ12-V12-XJ12C-coupe/222809810618
Current bid US $2,550 reserve not met 10 bids, 6 days left in auction, seller compulsiveshopperjim, 99k miles. Note seller provided VIN u62650570, using best guess, corrections welcomed. Car now said to be in Fullerton, California.

Sellers description:
This is a beautiful jaguar 1976 XJ 12C. This is an immaculately maintained survivor. Less than a few hundred exist and I've yet to see another original V12 coupe like this on the streets of Southern California. Gorgeous features throughout, including the high quality thick paint, chrome wheels, white stripe tires, automatic transmission, air conditioning and 244 horsepower electronic fuel injected engine that made its first appearance in this model in 1975. Its history of sympathetic ownership is apparent in the condition of its pinstriped paint, black vinyl covered roof, and red upholstery and interior trim. It would have been an outstanding front-row trade-in on a Jaguar dealer's lot in 1981 but today it is truly exceptional offering a new owner the best of Jaguar's famed 'Grace space and pace' in a beautiful 4-seat hardtop coupe with smooth V-12 power and a full array of comfort and convenience features. These cars are becoming extremely hard to find in this condition. This is a rust free original car that has an immaculate interior. As for mechanical: This car did not need a restoration -- still, it is a British Leyland Jaguar, so much has been repaired, replaced and rebuilt the chrome has never been touched except with a little polish and it looks fantastic. The wood portion of the dash has some slight cracking as you can in the pictures and is very normal for the original dashes of this vintage, however a brand-new wood interior dash and dash vinyl kit for this XJ is included in the sale if the owner wants to upgrade the existing look. It has the original black Landau top all the chrome is in beautiful shape. This car is a West Coast car. It comes with a custom black car cover and many articles and posters so that the car can be immediately shown. It gets a lot of looks at any event that it is taken to. The color combination is extremely rare - cream white exterior, black Landau top and red interior very very nice. This car is well taken care of.

This beautiful V12 Jaguar coupe is an original numbers matching car. The chrome, body, tires, rear-end, under carriage, engine compartment, and interior are in excellent shape and the car is complete and all chrome pieces and emblems are there. This car is loaded - power steering, power windows, power brakes, automatic, independent 4 wheel suspension, inboard rear disc brakes, twin fuel tanks, and multiple piston front wheel disc brakes. This chassis won all the awards for being the smoothest and quietest riding car, comparative to the Rolls Royce's at a fraction of the cost. Today's Jaguars incomparable ride started with the invent of this car with its massive frame, V12, and its short coupe wheelbase.

If you want a car that is a candidate for a museum, show, or concourse car, this is your car. I'm looking for an appreciator and a driver. I believe that with appreciation, fine care and open road driving, this XJ12C will give a new owner many more years of great happinessThe car is sold as is with no reserve, and no warranty, expressed or implied. This 1976 Jaguar XJ12C coupe is an extraordinary automobile exquisitely maintained and amazingly preserved from new.

Lot #92581

This 1975 Jaguar XJ12 is a pillarless coupe finished in white with a black vinyl top over red leather upholstery, and it was acquired by the seller in June 2022. The car is reported to be one of fewer than 1,900 XJ coupes produced with the 5.3-liter V12, which is mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes later-style 18″ wheels and V12 badging as well as burl walnut dash trim, power windows, a rear-window defogger, a Jaguar-branded analog clock, and an aftermarket Pioneer stereo. Service in 2022 is said to have included replacing the spark plugs and cleaning the K&N air filters as well as changing the oil. This XJ12-C is now offered with spare parts and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The body features white paint complemented by a black vinyl top and chrome trim. Other equipment includes dual side mirrors, V12 badging, and polished dual exhaust tips, while Euro-style outer headlights are said to have been fitted under previous ownership. Paint scratches and chips are visible, and the seller notes the presence of rust on panels under the hood.

Chrome-finished 18″ wheels are said to have been sourced from a later Jaguar XJR and are wrapped in Goodyear Eagle LS tires.

The cabin features red leather upholstery with color-coordinated door panels and carpets as well as a contrasting black dashboard. Amenities include power windows, a rear-window defogger, a Jaguar-branded analog clock, and an aftermarket Pioneer stereo, as well as burl walnut dash trim that is said to have been replaced under previous ownership.

The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer as well as auxiliary gauges. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 9k miles, approximately 150 of which have been added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.

Power comes from a fuel-injected 5.3-liter V12 and is sent to the rear wheels through a Borg-Warner three-speed automatic transmission. The seller notes that the K&N air filters were cleaned and an oil change was completed in July 2022, while the spark plugs are said to have been replaced by the previous owner earlier in 2022. Rust is visible on underside components, and the seller notes that an aftermarket stainless steel exhaust system has been fitted.
