Ebay item 6/17/11
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1975-Jaguar-XJ6c-2-door-Coupe-/280696152237
Opening bid $3,995 reserve not met, no bids yet 9 days left in auction. Buy it now price $12,995. 99k miles.

Sellers description:
I am the third owner of this Jaguar, the original dealership being the first. I purchased it from the second owner who owned it since 1977. Under his 30+ years of ownership he had the interior completely redone in the original black leather and in the original pattern by a certified Jaguar shop. The car has been repainted and a new vinyl top installed just like from the factory. He had a Nardi wood steering wheel and a full wood dash kit installed. Factory Jaguar wire wheels are currently on the car, I do have the original steels, minus the center caps. I also have a spare OEM front bumper chrome for the car.

When I purchased the Jag it had not been titled for four years and hadn't been driven in even longer. I have had the car thoroughly inspected and had a few things repaired. All mechanical repairs where done at a very reputable British shop totaling over $1500.00. Rear brakes thoroughly gone through and all necessary parts replaced, the emergency brake system was also repaired, brake system bled. All new belts were installed and the rusty adjusters repaired along with idler. The carburetors were cleaned, repaired and adjusted, the shop did not deem a rebuild necessary at this point. A noise in rear end was discovered to be a rusty driver side hub. The parts were cleaned and a new wheel bearing and seal was installed. The driver side gas tank was not venting properly, the blockage was removed and it woeks fine now. The car also had some previous body work that was flawed so I took the car to a custom body shop to do repairs. The results are remarkable, the areas repaired are completely unnoticeable and the paint match is incredible! The car was completely buffed and polished to really blend the new and old paint together. Damaged areas were located around the bottom of the windshield on both sides. The windshield was removed for this work and a new rubber seal installed for the reinstallation. Paint was bubbled on the driver side door below window, driver side top fender and passenger lower front fender. All areas completely repaired at a cost of just over $1200.00

Having been neglected for so many years this car had quite a few issues. I have given this car much needed attention to reviving it to its original condition, but there are a few more issues that need some attention. The heating and air condition system does not function properly, although the blower fan works well. The engine compartment was not repainted with the rest of the car, even though it is also white it is a different shade of white, and there is a paint chip on the top of the passenger fender where the hood closes. The power door locks are not functioning and the seat belt retractors are needing cleaning to function correctly. When the windshield was removed the installer made a small tear in the headliner. It's not as bad as it sound though, the headliner is multi piece and the torn area can be removed easily, repaired and reinstalled. There is probably a few other minor things I'm forgetting, but this is a 35 year old car and I believe I covered all the major details.

Below is a brief breakdown of my overall description. I want you to be assured that I have disclosed everything necessary to bid with confidence. This is really a unique and beautiful car! I have set a reserve that is well below the "Buy it Now" option. I wish you Good Luck in bidding!

Rear brakes thoroughly gone through and necessary parts replaced, emergency brake system repaired, brake system bled.--Brakes work excellent now.
All new belts installed, adjusters and idler repaired.--New condition.

Paint damaged areas were located at bottom of the windshield on both sides, driver side door below window, driver side top fender and passenger lower front fender.--Areas repaired flawlessly
