Ebay item 5/16/12 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-xj6-c-2-door-coupe-4-2-litre-xjc-/110879884807
Current bid $4,050 reserve not met, 9 bids 4 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
Daily driver, runs and drives very well, will go anywhere.
Original engine. Compression in all 6 cylinders around 145 psi.
Does not smoke blue, black or white.
Twin Zenith Stromberg carburetors.
Twin tanks, electrically switched. Twin fuel pumps, (original membrane type)
Water temp/ oil pressure constant.
Electronic ignition.
California Smog equipped, complete and connected. (Currently, drive belt at the smog pump removed)
Equipped with xjs rims. I do have the original steel rims, which go with the car..
paint job about 4 years old. Matched "old english white" . Has minor blemishes..
Please note:
The US versions " Bicycle reflectors" at the rear and the position lights on the fenders where removed.
The original Jaguar design and the European version do not have them.
The wiring is still there if someone would like to re install them.
Vinyl top professionally installed 2 years ago. (still perfect)
Leather seats OK, no tears yet, except the top of the rear bench has sun damage.
Carpet good, Door panels just marginal.
Wooden dashboard like new.
All instruments / lights work . Blinker/ hazards only when they feel like it.
Clean title in hand. (Non op.)
All window motors work as follows.
Drivers side: fast down, slow up .
Passenger side : slow down, slow up
Rear quarter window passenger side: Normal up, normal down.
Rear quarter window drivers side: Normal up, normal down but has no power from switch.
I am using alternate 12 volts from the cigar lighter to get this one window up and down.
Water chokes disconnected. (they make the car run much too rich).
Solution : switch the carbs to manual chokes. (Kit available)
Minor oil leak between Engine and transmission and from the power steering. (Have replacement parts for the steering)
Partially working speedometer (tachometer) only records the milage and not the speed (showing 12xxx miles). (Have replacement parts)
Rust in the drivers and passengers foot well.( 3 small holes on drivers side, fixed with epoxy, passenger side has a small hole.)
The rust affected the foot well only due to notoriously bad drainage of the car. Other ares are not affected.
Hollywood Trivia :
7 years ago I bought this car from Mitzi Shore. (Owner "The Comedy Store" , Mother of Actor Pauly Shore)
Parts
This car will come with additional parts which I gathered over the years, including two Stromberg Carbs for parts, electrical switches ,gauges, etc.
I use this car almost daily .It is fun to drive, has ample power and generates lots of interest due to its beautiful design and rarity.
Weather you fix the negatives or not does not affect its immediate use as transportation. You can drive it the way it is. This Jag is very reliable.

Car returns to ebay 11/2/16 www.ebay.com/itm/1975-Jaguar-XJ6-LEATHER-/302126453422
Current bid $6,000 reserve not met 1 bid 6 days left in auction, seller harryetype, car now said to be in Newbury Park, California, 12k miles.
Sellers description:
beautifully presented and very rare Jaguar XJC 4.2 LHD finished in Fern Green with Black leather upholstery.
This rare XJC is an older restoration but still looks very good, the paint has a nice deep shine although there are signs of very light cracking on the boot lid. I would say the panels are also original as the door and wing gaps are far suppeior to the re manufactured panels currently available today. The interior also presents very well and looks like it has been recently re-upholstered. The dash top has none of the usual cracks associated with the dry Californian climate.
The car appears to run and drive well although I haven't driven any great distance. The only items not working are the indicators, wipers and clock.
The car is now located at my Classic Car shop in Southern California.
