Ebay item 5/14/18
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XJ6/253620966755
Starting bid: C $4,800, US $3,754.25, no bids no reserve, 6 days left in auction, seller dechabot, 61k miles. Note seller provided VIN is UE2T0053621BW, VIN used here is best guess.

Sellers description:
I have owned this Jaguar XJ6L for approximately 10 years. I purchased this car in the United States in 2008 and imported it into Canada so it is a US specification car. Over those years, I have added many NOS parts as I was striving to restore this beauty to its original splendor. NOS parts included chrome window trim, tail and reverse lights, hub caps, and side bumpers. The wood dashboard fascia was also replaced. In 2008, the rear suspension assembly was completely rebuilt including new shocks, rotors, brake pads, and springs. The calipers were rebuilt and the differential seal replaced. I have spent over $5000 in parts and repairs. I have only put about 2500 miles on the car for drives in the country since it was purchased. It is roadworthy and most of the equipment still works except for the air conditioning. The body is solid with only two minor rust spots over the rear wheel wells. It is a fine automobile deserving of a good home.

Car returns to ebay 7/22/19

www.ebay.com/itm/1974-Jaguar-XJ6L/254305203841

Opening bid $2,599.98 no bids 6 days left in auction same seller.

Previous auction received no bids.

Additional description:

The car has 61,767 original miles and is in good working order. Last summer the car made the 120 mile trip to its new home in Cornwall, Ontario without any issues.

Here are some details of the repairs done since I purchased the car:

The rear subframe assembly was completely refurbished including new shocks, coil springs, rotors, control arm bushings, and differential seal. Calipers were also rebuilt.

New steering rack bushings

New tie rod ends

New ball joints

Many NOS chrome trim parts and hubcaps

New wood dash.

Most of the major repairs were done 10 years ago when the car was purchased but it has only been driven about 250 miles a year since then.

Items that are not so good:

There are a couple of small rust spots on the rear fenders and rocker panel

There is a leak at one of the pipes attached to the power steering rack.

Air conditioning does not work

Crack in vinyl dash top

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
