Sellers description:
1973 Jaguar XJ12, 59,101 miles
Up for sale is my XJ12. It was given to me by my brother and I don't use it much anymore. It was sitting for about a year, and just a week ago I had it serviced, and brought back up and running. Overall the car is in excellent condition, and it was recently inspected by a mechanic, as it had been sitting for about a year.
There is some rust and bubbling on some of the lower body panels, there are closeup pictures of all of it in this listing. The horn does not work, One of the gas tanks does not work either (bad fuel pump).
the interior is in good condition, aside from the after market cellphone, it is all original. There is some wear and tear on the seats, but nothing major. The trunk of the car is in very clean condition, as is the engine compartment.
The engine runs very smooth (original v-12!), and the transmission shifts well, all of the power windows work. However since I parked the car a year ago, the rear passenger door no longer opens, and the reverse lights are out.
This is an excellent collectors car, and while not one of a kind, From what I am told there were less than 200 of these made. The car was well cared for by its previous owners, and there are Many Many records kept, that come with the car dating back to the original dealers invoice.
