Ebay item 7/5/11
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1973-Jaguar-XJ6-SWB-Sedan-NO-RESERVE-/220807931018
Current bid $3,550, no reserve, 2 bids 3 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
1973 Series 1 XJ6 Short Wheel Base Saloon. The car is painted in the most popular color of the period Regency Red with Tan Barley leather interior. The odometer currently shows 16K miles. The car starts easily and runs and drives extremely well. The acceleration is impressive and shifting through the gears is smooth. The brakes, steering and suspension are all in tip top condition a testament to a very well made car. She is well mannered on the road and a pleasure to drive.
The paint finish shines beautifully in the sun. There are of course minimal imperfections (nicks, dings, chips, etc) which you would expect from a 38 year old car. The chrome on the bumpers shines nicely as well. All of the trim and rubber are present and in good condition. The wheels are original stock wheels and in great condition with a set of matching period tires.
The interior looks good and the chrome/wood accents are spectacular. The interior leather shows very well with some minor cracking on the top portion of the rear seat. There are no large holes in the leather. The carpets seem to be the originals and are in decent condition as is the rear luggage area. The jack and tool bag are present in the trunk. The car is very presentable as it sits and has won several awards over the years. However, it is not a 100 point quality concourse car. It is however, a very nice "driver" condition car.
