    Ebay item 5/29/16
    www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XJ-/191883581087
Opening bid US $5,500 reserve not met no bids 6 days left in auction, seller 7173lt, 74k miles.

    Sellers description:
1972 Jaguar XJ6. My Dad bought this car when he lived in Southern California some 15 plus years ago. He was an engineer by trade so every upgrade he did to the car over the years, he did well. I doubt he put 5000 miles on the car in the last 15 years and it was always garaged since he owned it. He recently passed away and I have no place to store this out of the weather so I hope someone else can give it a good home indoors.

    Condition is as follows:
Body/paint: Zero rust, no previous accidents. Body is straight and solid. One single repaint over original green before my dad bought the car. Paint is driver quality with chips and minor dings, but as you can see in the pics, no major dents or damage. Windsheild is new, all other glass is in nice shape. Chrome on bumpers is tired. Overall very presentable.

Interior: As you can see very nice driver quality interior. Not perfect but overall very presentable and serviceable.

Running gear: Mechanically sound. I just took this on an 8 hour drive with no issues. Starts right up every time, good oil pressure, does not smoke. Runs, drives, shifts, and stops excellent. Cruises nice at 80 MPH, no vibrations or driveability issues. Engine is an early GM Goodwrench crate motor and trans is a TH350. The V8 conversion was done well. Has Chrome water pump and aluminum pulleys, with a polished stainless fan. Intake is a polished dual plane with aluminum thermostat housing. Carb is an Edelbrock 600 CFM with electric choke. Ignition is a newer Summit HEI. Radiator is new too if I remember correct. All belts and hoses are in great shape. A/C is all hooked up but I don`t think my dad ever got around to charging or servicing it. Exhaust was done in the last few years. Front end is tight, brakes were recently done and stop on a dime. Rear rotors if I remember correct were new as well as the axle u-joints and KYB shocks all the way around. Tires are brand new as well. They only have about 500 miles on them if that. My dad had pretty much gone through everything mechanical on this car so plan on hopping in it and drive.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
