This lovely Chestnut Bronze metallic XJ6 4.2 is from the end of the production run when quality was much improved and its luxury Sovereign wooed its first buyer.
It has been in the care of a single keeper since 2010 and is registered with the Automotoclub Storico Italiano. It has been stationary for the past two years due to the previous owner's age, it starts, brakes, and shifts gears without issue.
Some cosmetic work, such as restoring the roof upholstery and refreshing the interior wood, could enhance its appeal further. Overall, this Jaguar is complete and in good shape, making it a worthy candidate for restoration or enjoyment as-is.
History and Paperwork

Imported to Italy in 2010 by the last owner
Registered with the Automotoclub Storico Italiano
Italian registration document included

The Condition
Popular Chestnut Brown metallic paintwork with gold pinstriping presents well for its age
There are some minor areas to note in photographs and evidence of respray work
These include light bubbling to a rear arch and screen surround
Other areas such as wheel arches and sills appear to present well
Bodywork appears to be straight and with good panel fit across doors, boot and bonnet
Chromework presents well with good shine
Front and rear bumpers are generally presentable with only some misalignment to note
Fitted with desirable ‘pepperpot’ alloy wheels in good condition
Interior is presentable but would benefit from improvement as shown in photos
Wood veneers show delamination and cracking and headlining is sagging in places
Beige leather seats are in good order showing some deterioration typical of age
Well specified car with desirable steel sliding sunroof
The Mechanics
4,235cc Jaguar straight six XK engine delivering around 200bhp
3-speed Borg-Warner automatic transmission
Vendor reports that the car starts, brakes, and shifts gears without issue
We are told the car will require a service and check over before being used
