This 1980 Jaguar XJ6 is finished in Atlantis Blue over Biscuit leather and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes power-adjustable side mirrors, 15” steel wheels, and four-wheel disc brakes as well as a cassette stereo, front bucket seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, and power windows. The car was acquired by the seller in 2024 and shows 43k miles. This Series III XJ6 is now offered at no reserve with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, an owner’s manual, service records, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The Pininfarina-styled bodywork is finished in Atlantis Blue and features power-adjustable side mirrors, bright trim, and dual exhaust outlets. European-style outer headlights have been installed. The seller notes dings in the doors, chips in the windshield, and areas of bubbling paint.
The 15” steel wheels are mounted with 215/70 Uniroyal Tiger Paw Touring A/S tires. Braking is handled by ventilated front and solid inboard rear discs. The tires were replaced in 2024, according to the seller, who notes that the brake pads need to be replaced.
The seating surfaces are trimmed in Biscuit leather (ADE), while burl wood accents the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Interior equipment includes a cassette stereo, automatic climate control, cruise control, front bucket seats, and power windows and locks. The rearview mirror, window relay, hazard switch, and mirror switch are said to have been replaced in 2024, at which time the air conditioning system was reportedly recharged. The driver’s door seal needs to be replaced.
The two-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as gauges for oil pressure, voltage, fuel level, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 43k miles, approximately 1,200 of which were added under current ownership.
The 4.2-liter inline-six was factory rated at 205 horsepower and 231 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a BorgWarner three-speed automatic transmission. Work under current ownership is said to have included flushing the transmission fluid and replacing the transmission mount, transmission pan gasket, transmission filter, engine air filter, battery, and the fuel changeover valves. The seller notes that an oil change was most recently performed in 2025. Oil leaks are noted after the car sits.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate notes a manufacture date of February 21, 1980, and initial delivery to a distributor in San Francisco.
