Car was at auction in 2013
www.historics.co.uk/buying/auctions/2013-08-31/car/1978-jaguar-xj6-series-ii.asp ...
Auction description:
Registration WYX578T
Chassis Number JAALL3BC104569
Engine Number 71582
Odometer reading 20,054 miles
Estimate £3,800 - £4,800
Hammer Sold - £4,144
This 1978 Jaguar XJ6 Series II is a two owner car from new; the vendor purchasing it from the family of the original owner in 2010. He has had the car in storage until recently when he decided to carry out some minor body repairs and repair the chock mechanism so the car can be used. This rust free example is finished in blue with tan leather interior and is supplied with a V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate which expires in July 2014. With prices rising rapidly for early Jaguar models, new collectors are looking at the XJ6 series I and II models as a good and usable alternative to the Mk. I and Mk. II Jaguars and as an entry to the classic Jaguar World.
