Like many other legendary sports cars, the Jaguar XKSS inspired a number of imitations, the Ram XKSS by LR Roadsters being widely acknowledged as one of the most faithful to the original design. Of the highest quality, the Ram kit uses a backbone-type tubular spaceframe chassis - designed by Adrian Reynard - plus Jaguar running gear and motive power, this example having a 3.4-litre Jaguar XK engine breathing via triple Webers carburettors on a Lynx inlet manifold. The gearbox is a manual/overdrive unit in full working order. Recently re-commissioned with a new brake master cylinder and checked-over electrics, the car displays a total of less than 500 miles on the odometer and is said to drive very well. Offered with current road fund licence, MoT to May 2011 and Swansea V5.
