Private Party Or Dealer: Dealer
This 1987 Jaguar XJ6 Sovereign was first delivered to Decarie Motors of Saint Laurent, Quebec, and is said to have been stored for an extended period prior to its recent acquisition by the selling dealer. It is finished in Tungsten over gray leather and powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes 15″ alloy wheels, a cassette stereo, a power sunroof, cruise control, and a trip computer. The car now shows 48k kilometers (~30k miles), and recent service included replacement of the tires. This XJ6 is now offered at no reserve in Canada with factory literature, a stamped service book, a clean Carfax report, and Ontario registration.
The Series III XJ was built in six-cylinder form through 1987, and this final-year example is finished in Tungsten (JEX) with chrome trim. Equipment includes headlight wipers and fog lights. A Decarie dealership badge is affixed to the trunk lid.
Factory 15″ alloy wheels wear 205/70 Pirelli P5 tires said to have been fitted by the selling dealer in preparation for the sale. The trunk-mounted full-sized spare alloy wheel wears a matching tire.
The cabin features seats trimmed in gray leather with contrasting burl wood trim on the console, dashboard, and door panels. Equipment includes a power sunroof, an adjustable steering column, a digital trip computer, cruise control, and a Jaguar-branded AM/FM/cassette stereo. The headliner shows wear and is sagging, cracks are noted in the wood trim, and wear is visible on the driver’s seat upholstery.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 220-km/h speedometer and a 5,500-rpm tachometer. The six-digit odometer shows just under 48k kilometers (~30k miles).
The fuel-injected 4.2L inline-six was rated at 176 horsepower and 219 lb-ft of torque when new, and power is sent to the rear wheels through a BorgWarner three-speed automatic transmission.
The July 2020 Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists Ontario registration beginning in May 1988 through its most recent entry in February 2013.
