This 1987 Jaguar XJ6 Vanden Plas is said to have remained registered with one owner in Vermont until it was acquired by the selling dealer in 2025, and it now shows 16k miles. Finished in Bordeaux Red over Magnolia leather, the car is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. The 15″ Kent vented alloy wheels are mounted with older 215/70 Pirelli P5 tires. Braking is handled by ventilated front and solid inboard rear discs. Rack-and-pinion power steering as well as independent rear suspension with twin-coilover damping were equipped from the factory.

The seating surfaces are trimmed in Magnolia leather, while burl wood accents the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Interior equipment includes an AM/FM/cassette stereo, a trip computer, front bucket seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, adjustable rear reading lights, and power windows and locks.

The two-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as gauges for oil pressure, voltage, fuel level, and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 16k miles, approximately 25 of which were added under current ownership.

The 4.2-liter inline-six was factory rated at 205 horsepower and 231 lb-ft of torque. The selling dealer tells us the battery was replaced and that the air conditioning system was evacuated and recharged in 2025, and the oil was changed in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a BorgWarner three-speed automatic transmission.
