This 1986 Jaguar XJ6 is a Series III sedan that is finished in black over a biscuit leather interior and powered by a 4.2-liter XK inline-six paired with a three-speed Borg-Warner automatic transmission. The car originally resided in Washington and relocated to Oregon and California before the selling dealer acquired it from the reported second owner thirteen years ago. In preparation for sale the selling dealer performed a general inspection and an oil and filter change. This XJ6 is offered by the selling dealer at no reserve with a Carfax report, factory literature, and a clean Oregon title.
Originally gold, the bodywork has been refinished in black, including the door jambs. An accident is noted on the Carfax report in 2007, and rust bubbles are at the base of both the windshield and rear window seals.
Factory 15″ Kent alloy wheels are mounted with Toyo Eclipse tires measuring 215/70. Braking is handled by discs both front and rear, with the rears mounted inboard.
The cabin is upholstered in biscuit leather with matching carpets and burl walnut veneers on the dash, center stack, and doors. Equipment includes a power sunroof, adjustable steering column, and digital trip meter. The factory cassette radio is present at the base of the center stack.
A factory two-spoke steering wheel fronts a suite of instrumentation that includes a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer with 5k-rpm redline, and fuel level, coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure gauges. Just under 58k miles are shown on the digital odometer.
The original gold finish is visible underhood, and the fuel-injected 4.2L straight-six was rated at 176 horsepower and 219 lb-ft of torque when new. The selling dealer performed a general inspection, as well as an oil and filter change. Drive is sent to the rear wheels via a Borg-Warner three-speed automatic transmission.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned 2007 accident, as well as ownership history in California and Oregon.
