This 1987 Jaguar XJ6 Vanden Plas was gifted to the seller’s late aunt in 1987 and was inherited by the current owner in 2018. The car finished in red over beige and powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with three-speed automatic transmission. Features include an onboard computer, a cassette stereo, a power-operated sunroof, and automatic climate control. Service under current ownership has included brake work along with the replacement of the tires, air conditioning compressor, and receiver drier. This XJ6 shows 13k miles and is offered with maintenance records, a window sticker, factory literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Ohio title in the owner’s name.
The exterior is finished in Bordeaux red with chrome accents on the window trim, bumpers, mirrors, grille, trunk lid, and door handles. Features include a power-operated sunroof, dual fuel caps, and a power antenna, windows, and mirrors. A paint chip on the hood is shown in the gallery below.
Factory 15-inch Kent alloy wheels are wrapped in 215/70 Goodyear Integrity tires. The seller states that the brakes were recently serviced.
The seating surfaces are upholstered in Doeskin leather with burl wood veneer accenting the center console, door panels, and black dashboard. Amenities include automatic climate control, a cassette stereo, an onboard computer, cruise control, power locks, and a glovebox-mounted vanity mirror.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 5,500-rpm tachometer and a 140-mph speedometer. The six-digit mechanical odometer indicates 13k miles, 400 of which were added by the current owner.
The 4.2-liter DOHC inline-six was factory-rated at 176 horsepower and 219 lb-ft of torque. The air conditioning compressor and receiver drier were replaced in September 2020. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission.
The window sticker shows delivery to Williams Ford Sales in Cincinnati, Ohio, colors and equipment as well as a total price of $41,915.
