Lot #96317
This 1987 Jaguar XJ6 was modified in the early 2000s under previous ownership and fitted with a 5.7-liter LT1 V8 and four-speed automatic transmission that are said to have been sourced from a 1990s Chevrolet Impala SS. The car was acquired by the owner in 2013, and subsequent work included mounting replacement tires as well as installing a replacement catalytic converter, brake master cylinder, fuel pump, fuel filter, battery, EGR valve, oxygen sensors, and fuel injectors. The car is finished in blue over tan leather and is equipped with 15″ alloy wheels, dual exhaust outlets, four-wheel disc brakes, cruise control, and an Alpine CD stereo. This XJ6 is now offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of the owner with a clean Carfax report and a clean California title in the owner’s name.
The car was repainted in its current shade of light blue under prior ownership. Features include bright trim, a Leaper hood ornament, dual chrome fuel caps, mud flaps, and dual exhaust outlets.
The 15″ Kent alloy wheels are said to have been refurbished and wear 215/70 Falken Sincera tires that were reportedly installed in preparation for sale. The brake master cylinder is said to have been replaced under current ownership.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in tan leather along with color-coordinated door panel inserts and carpeting. Equipment includes cruise control, polished sill plates, an onboard trip computer, automatic climate control, power windows and locks, and an Alpine CD stereo. The sunroof does not work, the horn functions intermittently, the driver’s seat upholstery is worn and cracked, and the center console and dash trim is cracked. The air conditioning system is said to have been recharged.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and supplementary gauges. The mechanical odometer shows 150k miles, of which approximately 2,500 were added during current ownership.
The 5.7-liter GM LT1 V8 and four-speed automatic transmission were reportedly sourced from a 1990s Chevrolet Impala SS and installed in the early 2000s. Maintenance conducted under current ownership is said to have included replacing the fuel injectors, EGR valve, catalytic converter, battery, engine oil, and coolant. The fuel system was serviced with a replacement filter, pump, tank screens, and solenoid valves, according to the seller.
A State of California Bureau of Automatic Repair vehicle information label was issued in June 2004.
