Sellers description:
This car is in very nice condition. It currently does not start, but this is due to a bad battery. The car ran fine 6 years ago and then my father-in-law had serious back problems so he could never drive again. The car sat in the garage in Maitland Florida until last week. My in-laws moved into an assisted living facility in Georgia last week, so I am responsible for selling the car. I decided to list it on E Bay with a starting rice of $300. This is the amount that several auto junkyards in the Orlando area quoted that they would buy it from me for scrap. I certainly feel that a nice car in this condition is worth more than $300., but I will let the E Bay market place determine the price. The car is currently sitting on a public street in Maitland Florida, so it can be easily towed away when the new buyer pays for the car and receives the signed title. In my opinion, it would be a real shame for this car to not go to a new owner who would fix it up to drive it and enjoy owning such a wonderful car. It was always my father-in-law's pride and joy and he took great care of it. Please see all of the photos to see the condition of the car for yourself. The body, interior, engine and transmission are in great shape. I know that the battery was dead when I helped them move two weeks ago. It is certainly possible that the car would start when you put in a new battery, or at the very least, perhaps the fuel lines would have to be cleaned. I really do not know for sure. I flew in from Oklahoma to help them move and there was simply no time for me to do anything other then to push it out of the garage and into the street. It would be easy to tow the car away from where it is currently located.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
