This 1985 Jaguar XJ6 was delivered new to Charles Hornburg Imported Motor Cars in Los Angeles, California, and was acquired by the seller in 2010. The car is finished in Cobalt Blue Metallic over Biscuit Leather and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes 15″ alloy wheels, cruise control, air conditioning, power accessories, and a sunroof. Service completed during current ownership has included repairing the flywheel and replacing the valve cover gasket, water pump, cold start fuel injector, right-front lower ball joint, and front and rear brake pads. This XJ6 shows 108k miles and is now offered at no reserve with a window sticker, service records, spare parts, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.

The body is finished in Cobalt Blue Metallic with gold pin-striping and features a chrome front grille and trim, twin fuel filler caps, and impact bumpers. The seller notes corrosion on the hood, roof, and trunk lid, and around the front and rear windscreens. Close-up photos of the paint and brightwork can be seen in the gallery below.

Factory 15″ alloy wheels are wrapped in 215/70 Michelin Defender tires that were mounted in July 2015. The rear brake pads were replaced at the same time, the front pads were replaced in 2018, and the right-front lower ball joint was replaced in 2019. The left-front wheel center cap emblem has fallen off and is included in the sale.

The cabin features Biscuit leather seats with matching door panels and a black dash pad. Amenities include wood trim, cruise control, and power accessories. The air conditioning was converted to R134a refrigerant during previous ownership, and noted flaws include slow sunroof operation, a leaky sunroof seal, non-functional rear windows, and loose defroster vents.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The fuel level and coolant temperature gauge garnish plates are loose inside the housings. The six-digit odometer shows 108k miles, approximately 9k of which were added by the seller.

The 4.2-liter inline-six features Lucas-Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection and drives the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The cold-start fuel injector and the valve cover gasket have been replaced during current ownership, and an oil change was performed in January 2021.

The flywheel was repaired in June 2019, and additional images of the underside can be viewed in the gallery.
