This Jaguar has lived in California its entire life and only travelled 18,000 miles since new. This luxury sedan has miles of road ahead of it and is ready to be driven.

Drivetrain:

The Jaguar listed here retains its stock inline-six engine with automatic transmission. It starts and runs well, but we've only driven it around the facility, so we can't vouch for how it will run above parking lot speeds. But just as a luxury car should be, it's a very nice ride because it's quiet and has smooth handling.

Exterior:

Its distinctively classic design coupled with glossy black paint makes this Jaguar look like the ultimate in luxury. The body appears to be in very good shape except for a few chips in the paint and some minor bubbling on the left passenger door. All the lights and trim look good and nothing appears to be missing. The tires have a good bit of tread left.

Interior:

The car's cabin is just as elegant as the exterior with its leather and wood finish. The leather seats are roomy and comfortable and the wood grain dash looks brand new. In addition, the Jaguar is equipped with power windows and an AM/FM radio with cassette player.

Overall:

We recommend that potential buyers inspect the car in person, or engage a qualified mechanic to examine the vehicle to ensure that it's fully roadworthy. Absolutely amazing 44K original mile celebrity owned former museum Jaguar XJ6 Series III Sedan finished in nearly flawless Black paint with incredible condition Biscuit Leather interior. Originally sold to the Hollywood giant actor-director Carl Reiner by the very first Jaguar dealership in the USA, Charles Hornburg Jr Imported Motor Cars of Los Angeles, CA (Charles Hornburg brought the Jaguar brand to the US in 1948). It was delivered to Mr. Reiner on December 21st 1985 (a possible Christmas gift to his wife Estelle?) who was living in the Beverly Hills Flats on Rodeo Dr at the time. The car remained in Southern California where it was eventually sold to a collector's private museum where it remained until 2013 when it was purchased with just 18,000 original miles by the previous owner collector car enthusiast here in OH who has driven the car sparingly in fair weather otherwise keeping the car tucked in the garage and keeping it well maintained until he sold the car to us with the now 44K miles on the odometer. We have since done a complete sorting of the car including a fresh multi-stage full repaint with glass trim removal done by a local classic car restoration specialist and new headliner, as well as a full sorting of all mechanicals including new steering rack bushings, water pump, cooling system service, fluid changes and more. Additionally the car has had all tires replaced, brakes, HVAC system service, and more. The car runs and drives great and is more than just a show piece, but a capable driver as well with all major functions in proper working order, including the factory radio and power antenna, power sunroof, windows, etc. The original spare wheel and Pirelli P5 tire are present as well as the original tool kit, original window sticker, Books, Manuals, Cassette cleaning kit, and original service booklet showing Mr. Reiner and his wife as the original registered owners. The car also comes complete with the indoor car cover and duster from the previous owner. It also has a nice set of new Lloyd plush custom mats installed over the original carpets which are in excellent condition. The underbody of the car is in amazing condition with no signs of major rust or corrosion as you can see in the array of detailed photos. Truly a one-of-one vehicle, a true classic in its own right, in a beautiful color combination, with incredible history and celebrity ownership, available for the next steward to carry on its careful ownership.
