Ebay item 4/26/18
www.ebay.com/itm/1983-Jaguar-XJ6/232746799359
Opening bid US $2,000, no reserve, no bids 6 days left in auction, seller teganruby, 233k miles.

Sellers description:
This very clean 1983 Jaguar XJ6 was converted to a small block 1974 350 Chevy in 1993. The work was done by John's Cars of Dallas, Texas. At time of installation there was a new transmission, and manifold package. There are receipts and photos of the engine pull. This is a hot, hot car -- an American muscle car in a beautiful British body. The receipts track the car from around 14,000 miles to close to 200,00 with two owners -- 1983-2004. After 2004 the records are lost, but it is clear that this was a vehicle that was well maintained. All original manuals are in excellent shape in original folder in locking glovebox. I will be posting a link to a youtube video so you can see and hear the rumbling motor. In terms of the body, shown is an area where the clear coat is coming off. This is a small area and not anywhere else on the car. Around the rear window, also shown in a photo is an area around the rear window that is bubbling up but isn't the least bit squishy. There is a tiny dent that I couldn't even capture in a photo. There are some rock chips but overall the car is very beautiful. It has had a minor accident, documented by repairs, and the entire car was repainted.

I had an inspection done last week by an ASA mechanic. He noted a small oil leak and was very happy to take her out on many test drives to make sure everything was AOK! I always use non ethanol premium gas in this high performance vehicle. The two gas tanks are handy with this motor! My mechanic did not go through the entire car to check on details. I only have driven it in great weather with the sunroof open, but I have tested the air conditioning and heat and it works fine. I don't think the cruise control works. Gas gauge works but sometimes the speedometer just gives out unpredictably. Sunroof, windows, doors work great. Winshield wipers work, windshield washer isn't hooked up. Little minor matter that are common in a Jaguar of this age.

New Michelin tires; the spare tire is a Perelli. New battery and master cylinder this month. New Pioneer music system with instruction manual.

Car returns to ebay 8/6/19

www.ebay.com/itm/1983-Jaguar-XJ6/233306093430

Opening bid US $1,500 no bids no reserve, 6 days left in auction, same seller, 170k miles.

Seller's description;

Records since new with only one gap. This includes information about the engine and transmission change.

The body is in really good condition. Clear coat is coming off from around a couple of windows (shown in photos). No dents, a couple of minor dings. Has been painted twice since new.

Interior is adequate, with ripped seats, ripped center console, and some lifting of clear coat on veneer.

Engine is great, powerful, and fast. Special exhaust. Have compression checked and all fluid replaced anytime I go for a trip. It is a great car to drive.

Electronics -- Windows, door locks, and sunroof fully operational. One side mirror's electronics do not work.  Cruise control doesn't work. Air conditioning is GREAT! Fans works, Speedometer only works part of the time. Gas gauge is accurate. Seat belts are good. Tiny, tiny bit of rust around windows. If there is rust it is minimal -- has been on rack and inspected.

New battery, master cylinder, Pirelli tires.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
