Ebay item 3/6/11 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1986-Jaguar-XJ6-automobile-/110657752311
Opening bid $3,000 reserve not met no bids yet 6 days left in auction. 159k miles.
Sellers description:
British green, tan interior, solid body, engine runs well but will need someone interested in fixing it up. Have kept all old parts replaced over the last 18 years that I have owned it (see photo with repair manual and Union Jack/other boxes). Have original owner's manual and original window sticker ($34,250.00). A/C works but blower runs on low. Walnut facia needs work/replacing. Quit using it several years ago as it is a gas guzzler (window sticker shows gas guzzler tax of $850). Gets about 13 in town and has gotten 20 mpg on the road, fully loaded. Michelin tires.

Sellers description:
Car is generally dent-free except for area on front under bumper. I am 2nd owner; bought when it was 5 years old and had 25000 miles. Had been in accident prior to my buying it (right tail light and paint work--clear coat on trunk is peeling and paint overall is dull). I bumped a car once (brand new Mercedes) but did no damage to Jag. Made a scratch on the Mercedes rear bumper which I reported to my Insurance company (Vehicle History search must not go back 24 years). I think the cylinder head had been replaced before I bought it (numerical entries in pencil were on portions of the head). I replaced head with one from Memphis Head shop back in the 90's. Replaced the head gasket x 2 back in the 90's.
The car has sat in my driveway for years, not used. In the last two years, I re-licensed it and have driven it sporadically around the neighborhood. When I first re-started it after it had been sitting about six years, it billowed thick bluish smoke (thankfully, it was not white or black smoke). I changed the oil with Valvoline 10w 30 (regular oil, not high mileage) and a new filter and it quit blowing any smoke. Must have been condensation in the old oil.
The car will need a lot of work. The A/C works but does not blow hardly more than a whiff. The low beams come on but one of the high beams does not. The lamp itself is good. I bought new horns but have not put them on. Recently replaced the water pump. Have a new high pressure steering hose which I have not installed. Tires are Michelins, look good, but are old. Windows are slow to go up and down. Driver window better. Have not tried sunroof (has tool if it does not work). Replaced headliner years ago and it still looks good. Door locks are a nuisance. They work but you have to turn the driver door lock quite hard. At one point, I had a remote lock installed (Radio Shack kit) which solved that problem, but it has since quit working. Still have the original box and parts for it as we bought two kits at the time. The underside of the hood needs a new liner. I have kept all parts that have been replaced (see Reebok boxes in photos), except for maintenance items and the steering rack. Wiper motor has been recently rebuilt. Wipers work but not as fast as I want them.
This is a complete car, that runs. Oddly enough, original equipment for this Jag included an AC Delco air conditioning system, Japanese radio, Belgian Speakers, and a Borg-Warner transmission. The body style was by an Italian. Otherwise, I think it is all English.

Sellers description:
second owner of this car and have had it 25 years. Recently put on new fuel injectors (all 6) and a new brake master cylinder. Dashboard fascia is cracked. Leather is worn (cracked on drivers side). Engine is strong. Catalytic converter likely has a hole in pipe. A/C hardly blows but feels cool. Good battery. Had left side gas tank repaired but still consider it doubtful. It has what appears to be surface rust in wheel wells. Missing chrome trim from back left is in boot. It is a complete car ready for restoration.
