Car to be at auction 3/25
www.aguttes.com//lot/102878/11815689

Auction description:
Jaguar XJ6 4.2 SÉRIE 2 1978 Collection Francis Staub - Lot 110
Good general presentation
Mechanics in working order
Desirable 4.2l version

French registration document
Chassis: 2T64850BW
The example we are presenting to you is equipped with the 4.2l 6-cylinder engine coupled to an automatic gearbox and was registered for the first time in January 1978. A fan of Jaguar, Francis Staub has owned several including this apparently original French Series 2. The paint on this XJ6 was redone a long time ago but the overall presentation of the car is beautiful. The chrome also looks good, while in the passenger compartment the rather well-preserved leather will need to be nourished. The headliner is not falling but the woodwork and varnish are chipped in places. The mechanics seem to work well, but our test will not allow us to judge reliability over a long journey. Some work should therefore be planned before considering new long-distance trips.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
