Sellers description:
I purchased this Jaguar from original owner last year. The original owner purchased it in Germany and was Baron Von Claparede of Bavaria. Hence it has euro bumpers (not US rubber extensions) and 7" outer headlamps no AC, and no radio, does have power windows and locks all gauges work including clock, tachometer & speedo in Kilometer all else as US models. Car is exactly as built and was repainted appx. 20 years ago. All interior in excellent condition this Jag always garaged and never driven in bad weather hence no rust or pitting on any chrome under carriage looks like a 2 year old car spent 10 years in Az. driven very little as Mrs Claparede didn't drive much. Because it's such an original XJ6 and because it's so rare in USA with these bumpers all 74 on had ugly rubber extensions! I was going to enter in the September Santa Fe Concorso this year and may still do so if not sold. It has had it's headliner replaced and I have original wheels with caps and beauty rings very good condition the Michelin tires on them 20 years old! The 95 XJR wheels on it are one of my favorite Jaguar wheels that fit without spacers and has Z rated tires included in price but will deduct $1,000 if not wanted by winning bidder. All rubber on doors and windows are original and excellent condition all glass is original also. I had all fluids changed and master brake replaced and tuned new wires etc. all runs like new. 4.2 six engine is EURO specs and dual carbureted not injected and no catalytics. If you always wanted an original Euro Jaguar XJ this is a beauty to drive and show!

This week Canyon State Classics brings to market one of the sexiest and best kept 1975 Jaguar XJ6 Sedans on the Planet. This car is very special in several ways. This car was sold new to Baron Von Claparede in Munchen, Germany in June 1975 and only spent about 10 years there before being imported to the US in mid 80's. It is a a low mileage Euro spec car which has lived a very pampered life in the dry Southwest desert for many years. This is an exceptionally rare car to find in the US with all chrome small bumpers, radio delete and no factory A/C! This is the most pure form of what Jaguar expressed with a Series II Long Wheelbase. It is a true statement of the Elegance of the mid 70's in Britain.

The body on the car is in very good condition and was extremely well maintained. The paint on the car is finished in its original coat of Astral Silver and has a brilliant shine and looks like new. The car has been completely inspected underneath from front to back and is solid as a rock and well cared for garaged car should be. All chrome trim, glass, and rubber seals are in great shape and look new. The car looks as nice as the day it rolled off the Leyland Jaguar lot in Germany. It just had a full detail done at a cost of over $500 so this car looks spectacular! The car is accented by the period correct wire wheels which look great and wrapped in brand new radials.

The interior is in very nice original condition all around. Its life long garage storage is obvious at close examination of the crack and fade free interior. The dash and door panels are in very nice condition. The black leather seats are all in very good condition and show minimal ware, which shows the quality of material used in this car. All wood grain is in excellent condition, with a few cracks on the glovebox door. The carpets are all very nice are not worn or damaged. The car also has custom red floor mats. All dials and controls function as they should, power windows are fully functional. All lights, gauges switches, and accessories work as they should. The trunk compartment is very clean and does have the original jack, tools and the spare tire and wheel. This car is all there and in excellent shape with all functions and accessories working as they should.

Mechanically, this Series II runs GREAT! I have owned nearly 20 80's and 90's era Mercedes vehicles, and this car stacks up against all of them! The car starts right up and shifts smooth as silk. The 3.9L V8 is excellent. The car is tight and right as any low mileage car should be with no current mechanical issues.

The car will include all original books, huge stack of receipts, original spare, jack, tools, all original keys, as well as the floor mats.

All in all, this is THE cleanest and nicest Jag that I have had the privilege of being associated with, and is surely one of the NICEST in the Country!
