This is a rare opportunity to acquire a really nice, genuine and original XJ6 with sensible mileage and few owners. This cherished 4.2 is a genuine three owner car, of which the last two were husband and wife, he having bought the car from its original owner back in 1992. The car has been garaged continuously since 1992 (and by its condition one would guess it probably was before that too).

Sadly due to ill health, it has been sat unused in its garage since late 2012 so will require some recommissioning. Fortunately it was covered so the bodywork has remained in remarkably good condition, but it may require fresh fuel, a restorative tap to the fuel pump (its not clicking) and/or possibly a clean of the twin SU carburettors for it to start up. We are told it was driven into its garage back in 2012, and as this is at the top of a steep driveway it certainly couldn't have got in there any other way, so it seems unlikely that restoring it to running condition will take much work. There is a crack in the windscreen at the offside bottom corner that may mean a new screen is required.

There is a large file of history, documentation and some old photos of the car. There are also some genuine unused Jaguar spares included.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
