It´s my car. Have it for fun, use it when it´s not Winter. Plan is to keep it as a running restoration, it´s in good condition, not perfect but useable. Love it... She´s named Lady D.
I should order a Heritage certificate so I get all information.
I might have got the gearbox and bodynumber mixed...

This car must be one of the oldest Daimler Sovereign Series 2 cars to survive.
Does anyone know if there was any preproduction cars etc of the series 2?
I don´t know anyting about the car before it came to Sweden.
I´m just going to have the cylinder head redone.

The cylinder head restoration become a complete rebuild of the Engine.
The crank and camshafts where good but I need new pistons and liners, it´s already .30.
The cylinder head studs were in a very bad state and is replaced and of course loads of other parts...
I´m waiting for the summer and to take the first trip with the rebuild Engine.

The Engine is still not ready.... sad story... have had problem to get the parts for it.
Still waiting. Never had problems to get parts Before to British cars until now....
Ordered the last parts in may 2018... took a year.. and there are still parts missing.
But hopefully the Engine will be ready this year.

Hi,
Another Swedish Jaguar enthusiast here...
I checked the VIN on your Daimler, it is indeed the 19th Daimler Sovereign in RHD LWB configuration ever produced of the in total 186 Daimler Sovereigns RHD LWB built in 1973, starting in July that year.
149 RHD SWB were built, and only 4 SWB RHD, and only one SWB LHD Daimler Sovereign, making a total of 340 Daimler Sovereigns built in 1973 (Calendar year, not Model Year).
All of this with the 4.2. In addition there were about 370 Daimler Double Six produced during 1973, all LWB.
Source for information is Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust and a document dated 2012.
What parts are holding up your engine restoration? You have probably searched all sources over the web, but I might be able to give some hints.
