Car returns to auction 11/24
angliacarauctions.co.uk/auctions/2671-02-Nov-2024/7800~3-1974-daimler-double-six-auto
Auction description:
Sat 2nd & Sun 3rd November
1974 DAIMLER DOUBLE SIX AUTO
Estimate: £10,500 - £12,500
V5 present
MoT date: 22/01/2025
Chassis number: 2K1203BW
5,343cc. This Daimler Double Six auto saloon was subject to total restoration, completed in 2010, at a cost of £40,000. The car resided in the UK until 1983 when it was purchased by the then owner and taken to Jersey. He used the car for fifteen years and in 1998 commenced restoration which lasted over twelve years. It is finished in Signal red and during the restoration, it's interior was changed from blue to cream leather piped with red. It would appear the owner retained the car until 2016 before passing to another Jersey resident, returning to the UK in 2018. In 1983 it's UK MoT recorded mileage of 40,600, in 2009 it was at 56,400 and it's current reading is 71,084. A few blemishes have appeared on the car but overall it remains in very good condition. After two years of being in storage, it was MoT'd earlier in 2024.
It comes with a large history file containing an extensive restoration record including photos and receipts, various MoTs, receipts and documents, 2019 bill of sale to the last registered owner and original handbooks and wall chart. Five registered owners.
