Car to be at auction 5/14
www.bonhams.com/auctions/21901/lot/3/

Auction description:
Lot 3
1977 Jaguar XJ6C 4.2-Litre Cabriolet
Chassis no. 2J53631BW Engine no. 8L488135
€38,000 - 42,000
US$ 52,000 - 57,000
There was never a soft-top version of the XJ6 in either four- or two-door form; indeed, between the E-Type's passing in 1975 and the arrival of the XJ-S Cabriolet in 1983, there were no open Jaguars of any kind.

First registered as a cabriolet in 1994, this converted XJ6C is undeniably handsome and could easily be mistaken for an official factory model. Affording stylish and comfortable accommodation for four, the car is offered with condition report (1996) and Austrian registration papers.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
