This superb XJC from the collection features the six-cylinder 4.2-liter engine and an automatic transmission. The car was delivered new in Monaco, to a Mr A W J Mersell on the 23rd of June, 1976. Till 1986, the car was serviced regularly, as evidenced by the maintenance logbook, with stamps by British Motors of Monaco, which comes with the car. In 1986, the logbook showed that it had covered 40,007km, and now the odo shows just 47,043, which probably corresponds to the actual distance the car has covered. Our collector had spotted the car in a Monaco parking, where it was kept in a covered state, the car no longer being used by the original owner. It retains all the flavour of the original, whilst this beautiful coupe has received a new paint and a comprehensive overhaul by the mechanic staff. Featuring an air conditioning, the cabin has black leather seats of very fine patina, reflecting a previous use that was both careful and attentive. Opening the bonnet one will find a very clean engine compartment, and the trunk still has the original tool kit. This discreet and elegant car should bring its new owner much comfort, enough power, a lot of luxury and quiet refined running, with a class befitting the Jaguars of that period.
Estimation 25 000 - 35 000 €
