Car was at auction 10/11
www.historics.co.uk/previous-auctions/22nd-october-2011/jaguar-xjc.aspx
Auction description:
Auction Date: 22 October 2011
Lot 377 - 1977 Jaguar XJ6 Coupé
Registration: UYR 447S
Chassis Number: 2J-3255
Engine Number: 51986
Odometer reading: 51,000
Estimate: £4,000-£6,000
Hammer: Sold
Plus Commission: £6,792
Acquired through Jaguar specialist, Alan Collins of Maldon, by the vendor, it has been looked after by the same and so its integrity throughout can be relied upon. Presented in Old English White with a contrasting Navy Blue velour interior, this is very much reminiscent of the period in history that it was built in. Power comes from a 4.2 litre engine, through an automatic gearbox to the rear wheels. It has undergone a number of visits to reputed specialist, Alan Collins, as mentioned before but also JD Classics, another significant engineering and Jaguar restoration firm who investigated and rectified a misfire, carried out a light service and ensured all four windows were operating correctly. It also benefits from a new fuel tank and comes with a MoT test certificate expiring in March, 2012. Also included are the original owner's manual, Jaguar wallets and previous MoT test certificates attesting to the very low mileage recorded.

Car was at auction again in 2012

The Spring Sale
1977 Jaguar XJC
Lot No.: 114
Registration: UYR 447S
Chassis Number: 2J-3255
Engine Number: 51986
CC: 4200cc
Year of Manufacture: 1977
Sold for (£): Unsold
The car offered today is a superb example in the best colour scheme of Old English White paintwork with a Navy Blue velour interior. It has been the property of only a handful of owners, two of which were father and son and they have held the car between them from April 1982 to February 2010. There are thirteen MoT's in the history file from 41,051 miles in 1984 to 52,000 miles as shown today. In that time, the car has accrued a host of invoices, some notable ones from JD Classics in Maldon.
Ultimately, this is a handsome car presented in excellent order throughout. Both the paint and the chrome are in exemplary condition, and the interior still looks new. Mechanically the car is reported to run and drive faultlessly with the automatic transmission delivering smooth and precise gear changes. This Lot is offered for sale with a fresh MoT test certificate.
These are increasingly sought-after motorcars and Silverstone Auctions are proud to have had recent success with other examples of its type, one of which securing £19,800 making 'UYR 447S' incredibly good value today...
