Car offered at:

Sellers description:
Daimler Double Six Coupe
Date of Manufacture: 26th March 1976
VIN: 2F1112BW - Engine No: 7P29891SA
One of only 407 Daimler Double Six Coupe's built (in both LHD & RHD versions). And the rarest and most desirable of all the XJC models. Only 2 previous owners from new and in gorgeous condition, having been recommissioned after a long period in covered storage.
Finished in Greensand with black vinyl roof and dark green olive leather (almost black and really suits the car).
Ordered through Bryson Industries in Sydney on 26th March 1976. She was first delivered through the Jaguar/Daimler distributor Stratstone Ltd in London on 12th May 1976, then sent to NSW where the first 1500KM service was performed on 14th March 1977.
The Daimler comes with an excellent history file including a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, the original Drivers Handbook and Passport to Service book along with a stack of old service invoices and bills.
The Daimler has been maintained regardless of cost and recent work includes:-
A full 'glass out' repaint in the original colour of Greensand with a new vinyl roof in the correct material. (The original paintwork had been polished thin over the years).
New front windscreen and new screen seals front and rear.
Two new petrol tanks, with new senders and seals, a new uprated fuel pump, fuel lines and filter.
Engine service with new oils and filters (air & oil). Uprated cooling system with a high flow aluminium radiator and silicon cooling hoses.
A new battery.
New brake master cylinder and brake fluid change.
New rear exhaust mufflers (as the Leyland original ones had loose baffles).
New boot carpet and new front carpets with the original heel pads sown in.
She starts and drives extremely well, the engine has excellent oil pressure, the automatic gearbox shifts smoothly and she never overheats.
Currently, the Daimler sits on Series III wheels, but a set of the original 'Kent' alloy wheels comes with the car.
A fantastic history file which shows just 2 previous owners.
Ordered new in Sydney in 1976 with the first service by Bryson Industries on 14th March 1977.
$45,000.00
