Sellers description:
It is a classic 1972 Jaguar, pampered by just one owner. Bought new off the line, this Jaguar was restored from the frame up, with no expense spared. Mr. Murphy, truely loved this Jag. spending over $51,000 with all receipts in hand as proof. (With all documentation included) eMotorcars has accepted the resposibility to sell Mr. Murphy's dream car. Mr. Murphy had a considerable amount of work done on this car. Mechanically the car is excellent. Approximately 3,000 miles since it has been back on the road, even on the hottest days in Florida's traffic the temperature never goes above the middle of the gauge. Would make a great daily driver given it's mechanical condition. No expense spared engine rebuit using the original numbers matching block, new OEM Jaguar parts used where available, excellent condition refurbished parts used when new parts were not available.- Correct cylinder head fully rebuilt, replaced rocker arms, valve guides, head gasket and everything in between.- Bosch fuel injection pump bench tested, serviced, replaced the choke, diaphragm, filter and thermostat, fuel injectors cleaned and tested- Transmission fully serviced, pressures adjusted, it shifts very well and does not leak Here is a partial list of parts that were replaced during the rebuild: New forged pistons and rings, all bearings, hoses, pipes, head pipes, gaskets, water and cooler lines, timing chain, guides, and tensioners, intermediate gears, chain guides, the oil pump â€" tachometer gear shaft, oil pump (up rated spec), water pump, thermostat, thermostat hose, thermostat pipe, and thermostat housing.Additionally: -All engine bay parts professionally powder coated-Correct gold color plating used where needed-Correct diamond pattern firewall pad-Rebuilt brake booster-New brake master cylinder-Radiator and radiator expansion tank professionally cleaned and refinished-All new rubber hoses in the engine bay, new belts, new clamps, new rubber bushings and new air filter canister seal.-New OEM Jaguar battery, new Bosch ignition wires, ignition coil, spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor, points, and condenser-New tires all around including the spare tire. The car is described to the best of my knowledge, I'm not an expert on Restored Vehicles and this is the first one I've owned, I make no guarantees about it's condition and the car is sold as is. Inspections are encouraged during the bidding period. Please do not bid if you are not able to complete the transaction.
