Ebay item 10/21/13
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XJ6-custom-chrome-per-British-Leyland-Finally-a-Jag-that ...
Car has a buy it now price of $2,500, 2 offers, 6 days left in auction. 73k miles.

Sellers description:
Vehicle has been garaged since purchased by current owner in 1976. All chrome is original. Front and rear windows have been replaced using last original windshield in N.A. (according to insurance records). They and their seals are like new. Repainted in 2003 using original mid-night blue color match. Headliner in perfect condition. No rust. Interior is completely original, except for added gas tank dash switch. Speedometer and Tachometer have not been hooked up for many years. Still has original radio.
She's powered by Chevy! But almost ALL of the original parts (except block) that were removed during conversion will be included with the sale. Paperwork and verification traces this vehicle to last known 71 XJ6 built by British Leyland and shown at the 1970 Chicago International Auto Show. After the show the vehicle was purchased by the Donaldson family of Stamford, Connecticut and has been with me since 1976. The 350 hydro-matic with Edelbrock 4 barrel carb and chrome racing intake manifold plus center drop Corvette exhaust manifold means she really flies. Vehicle does not have air conditioning installed and if you wish to use it for long distance travel, I would recommend putting in an over-drive or changing the rear gearing. One of my former students talked his dad into selling it to my wife and I when the kids got their drivers licenses and "who was going to drive the Jag" almost tore the family apart. She needs a caring home and I need the garage space!
Passport and ALL original manuals are going with you.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
